27 Weeks, Men in Tights & Booby Scarfs!

Wow what a busy weekend we have had, I know they are all going to fly by from now until January! We had lots of stuff going on this weekend and it has continued into this week.

First off, A Nolan Update-

I went to the doctor today for my yucky glucose test and should know those results this week, hopefully all good things! I did find out that my blood type is B- so I have to get the antibody shot so that when the next little Campbell comes around my antibodies wont fight with his/her blood type, so that's on the agenda for the next visit.
I have started my 2 week appointments now, jeeze it is flying by I cannot believe I am in my third trimester already! I have gained 23 pounds to date so if I can keep it down to the pound a week as suggested from here on out I think I can handle that, that will put me at 36...I'm shooting to stay under 30-35, we will see what happens. Only in a perfect world would I have been so lucky to be like one of those who only gains 15! I am still wearing my own pants (just wide open) but my Dr.seemed to be surprised by that, guess this baby is ALL BELLY.

Moving on...

Here are some pictures from our event filled weekend.

Jessica's Bachelorette Party -that Brad Pitt ruined by busting a water main (details below).

This weekend we had planned to celebrate Jess' bachelorette party with a girls weekend at Center Hill in a beautiful cabin, however, this didn't go as planned (go figure...)

I got a call Thursday informing me that they were shooting a movie up where the cabin was and that the "celebrity" that was staying in our house wasn't going to be able to check out until later than they had originally planned so we were going to have to postpone our check-in. I had a few feelings on this:

1. What a crock!
2. Is this celebrity paying you a lot more to be able to check out later, if so, SHOW ME THE MONEY!
3. Whatever, I'm not happy about it, but what do you do. Better be a good movie!

Then on Friday (the day before we check in) I get a call that a water main had busted in the house we were staying in and the only option they have is for us not to come and get our deposit back or we could downgrade to a cabin with fewer rooms, no lake view, and no hot tub (for the SAME PRICE), um let me think....
 1. are you kidding me?
2. Really, are you kidding me?
3. What's really going on up there between the concierge and Brad Pitt?

And finally, GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK (I had a few other thoughts that I didn't say bc Nolan can hear me now)!

Disclaimer: we have not confirmed that the celebrity was Brad Pitt but that's who we decided to plug in for story purposes.

So, we ended up with a fondue night at my house and a little venture out in town. Please make sure you check out Jess' awesome "bridal sash" that is draped around her neck!

And here are the Good Shots ... In order :)
And yes this is a charitable gift... half the proceeds go to breast cancer research!

She preferred them lopsided!

And here are the pics you've been waiting for,
The Campbell men in SKIRTS!

A chip off the old block...

Whoa Baby!

26 1/2 weeks.... WHERE DID THIS COME FROM !!!

Please disregard the pale-ness.... looks like I need to visit the versaspa (and stop taking pics of myself at the end of the day)!
Nolan is kicking, flipping  dancing on my bladder still. Will has started to feel little taps on the outside but I think he enjoys kicking to the back more than the front so it is a rare occasion that we get to feel him on the outside.

Here are a few more things going on at the Campbell house... We've been BUSY (more so than normal).

Goody To-Do's (me) is now a WE and an LLC! I am also a independent stylist for Stella and Dot (check out the link below)! I think in the midst of all these business changes my house (ottoman, dining room table, nightstand, etc. ) have been taken over by papers & samples so I finally decided to get a grip on the situation and make a little "office". Yes, now the media room and guest room have fallen under attack... I guess that's what's to be expected when having a child and starting 2 companies.

Am I crazy !?

OK back to my "office"
This is the guest bedroom before I got to it.

And this is it after (everything in the above picture is still there... don't worry Kara your room is in intact!)

But this little corner has been taken over !
Goody To-Do's and Stella & Dot headquarters for now!

And last but not least... here is the this weekends main event !!

blurry.... erg!

I thought about leaving it at that but I guess I should explain...

Will is going to a Scottish festival in Atlanta this weekend with the Campbell men... so I'll have photos of all of them in catholic school girl skirts VERY SOON!

Sidebar: I wonder if Nolan will have bird legs... highly likely!

25 Weeks, Yay we're past the 6th month mark !!

I get email updates once a week and enjoy seeing how he has developed so I thought I'd share this week.

What's new with baby Nolan...
Your baby now weighs nearly 1 1/2 pounds and is about 35cm long from crown to heel. He's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more like a newborn. His senses are becoming more sophisticated, too. At 26 weeks, fetal brain scans show response to touch. If you shine a light on your belly, your baby will turn his head, which means his optic nerve is working.

What's new with me...
I am really starting to see things protrude... like really (see for yourself below!). For the most part I feel great. I am becoming increasingly more irritable and less tolerant of stupidity (there's no better way to put it). My biggest irritant is this lady at work who is about 70-80 yrs old and she had hearing like a ninja... no joke... I generally try to avoid her home remedies and personal birthing stories by passing by her desk without stopping but as I said her superhero hearing allows her to hone in on any conversation I have in the office (with OTHER PEOPLE) at which point she comes barreling down the hallway to give her two cents when she should be at her desk answering phones (can you sense the frustration?)!

please excuse the dogs head that appears to be coming out of my butt...

On a lighter note (now that I've let the hormones rage for a bit), my animals appear to have changed their rebellious ways. No peeing on my couch or bed this week, only outside, woohoo! They still have to be right on top of me where ever I go, I have been sleeping in a Beckett and Hootie sandwich for about a week now but I'll take that over the destruction any day of the week!

We added a few things to Nolan's room too! I am waiting on my pictures that I ordered to come in but here are the minor additions since the last Nursery update.

I ordered a crib sheet so I could see what the true colors were going to be... Now I REALLY can't wait to get my bedding !

This is my bedding !!

And a few more additions ... yes MORE CLOTHES !

And here is Beckett checking out the toy basket, I can see this will be an issue. I think we're going to have to put a seperate toy basket in here that is just for Becks.

and yes, a new curtain !

Please excuse the crappy photos too, my mom stole my good camera (it's her's) and so I got stuck with my shoddy digital :( .

Six Months Today!! But let's turn our focus for a moment...

MY ANIMALS HAVE GONE CRAZY

OK, I do love my animals and I know that some may have glanced at a few photos here and there and though "jeeze, that girl is crazy" because of some of the things I do for my pets but let me just say...

WE ...

HAVE CREATED...

Excuse the blurry cell pic

MONSTERS !!!

My house has officially been taken over by two of the worst behaved animals EVER! Can they really tell that a change is coming !? That is all I can think that would cause such dramatic displays from these two! I'll be the first to admit my animals definitely have attitude (if you're a friend of mine you can quit nodding & eye rolling, you know you love them both :P ) but attitude doesn't come near to describing the ambush these two have unleashed on Will and I.

Hootie's Issues

Hootie has always been more passive than Beckett (let's admit cats are just easier) other than her few items that she vocally requests daily, she's a piece of cake... until now.

She now starts screaming every morning around 6:30 am for food, attention, she wants inside, she wants outside and she is picking fights with the neighborhood cats.  If you walk away from her before she's feels shes gotten enough attention.... SHE BITES! She's 8 years old ... so its not the terrible twos!

Beckett's Issues

Beckett has been difficult but loving since the day we brought her home... she is a Beagle and we were warned about barking and potty training but is hasn't been anything we couldn't handle
 (after replacing a few rugs).

My dog has now reverted back to the puppy stage... she uses the bathroom all over the place... including my $2,700 Leather Couch (this just happened last night) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She also likes to take anything that's not nailed down and drag it under my bed (where, lets get real, this preggo can no longer fit) and shred it into a million pieces! I'm so frustrated! I feel that her revolt is a little more direct as she takes any opportunity she can to sprint up to Nolan's room, wait until we run up after her, and then look at us in the eyes ... and squat (yes, it's that malicious)!

I'm at my whits end with these two, What do I do? Did anyone else's sweet four legged children turn into terrorist while they were pregnant? Are there any suggestions!? I think it's too late for the dog/cat whisperer, I'm about ready to stage an EXORCISM!

Keep your eyes open to the classifieds for these two!

Baby Update !

I went to the doctor today and got to hear Nolan's heartbeat in between his flips and kicks!

Nolan's Heart Rate: 144

My BP: It was great, but that's all I remember her saying about mine.

Weight gain: 8 lbs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (but I was on a different scale that they said weighed about 2lbs heavier than my Dr's, So I'm only counting 6lbs!) That puts me at a total weight gain of 15 lbs, I guess I'll cut out some of the ice cream but its SO GOOD !

I'm a little perturbed by the weight gain, I don't feel like Ive been pigging out or anything but I must admit there is a daily grab for the sweets. I suppose that's going to have to SLOW DOWN!

New feelings: CONTRACTIONS! Yes, for all of my friends I texted to see if what I was feeling was normal the other day... yes it was kind of normal but that's what it was !!!! She also said standing on my head to alleviate some of the pain was not recommended, so I guess it's on to plan B! Don't panic they are not often or severe, she just said to take a chill pill when they are happening (easier said than done!).

I have really started feeling the kicks and squirms but because my placenta is in the front everyone else will have to wait a bit longer to feel it... that's right this is still a  Hands Off zone( I don't like to be touched & I realize that when he starts really moving I will have to suck it up because  it's going to happen regardless but I literally hold my breath when someone reaches out for a feel)!

This may be something I need to invest in !

I think that's all for now. I have to do the nasty glucose test next time I go back and I will find out about how large they think this little guy is going to be (better be 8lbs or under is all I have to say!).

Family and Friends that want to love on Nolan when he gets here, PLEASE GET A FLU SHOT!!!
