Baby Update

I went to the doctor today and we heard the heartbeat (fast, but normal ~170) !! Will said that it sounded windy when the doctor was trying to locate the heartbeat and she said that was the baby MOVING! She said it was a pretty active little thing already! It looks like I am on track and everything is looking good (so relieved, I was a nervous wreck for some reason!) I had blood work done today but they said they would only call if something was wrong… so let’s hope we don’t hear from them! I go back on the July 19th for a routine checkup. She said I should start feeling movement in about 3-5 weeks, and that the nausea should slowly be on its way out. I also got the official OK tell the world, and start SHOPPING !

Kara Predicts Will and I's Future.

So Kara sent me this the day after I told her the news and I though I was going to fall out of my chair! The email title was "Candace and Will's Future" To be exact. This is so funny!! Although I don't foresee that I will ever be caught in a mini van because I am pretty attached to my SUV, this video is Genius ! Way to go Toyota!!
Make sure you scroll down and pause the music player before you hit play.

Little Spud

Here is our first pic of little spud....no too much to look at (and the pics a little blurry because I took it with my phone) but the black spot in the middle of all the blob is the heart! This is where we saw the quick little flutters this past Friday.

As for an explanation as how baby Spud earned it's name- My father and Will kept saying "HE this..." and "HE that" while my mother and sister kept saying "SHE this" and "She that" Will was getting frustrated by the "SHE" suggestions so I finally said OK just call it "IT" upon which everyone replied that that was mean and that we must come up with a different name.....

Since the only thing I seem to be able to eat without gagging lately is potatoes .... We ended up with Baby Spud! Not the most glamorous name but I guess we can change it to Stud or French Fry (the only girly potato reference I could think of) when we find out more!
